Technical support comes from a variety of sources and in order to resolve your issue as quickly as possible, it is important to know who to call for what type of problem.

Call Jeff Spears (5-3123) and Galen Harrison (5-5236) for:

  • All software
  • Wired/Wireless connectivity
  • Printing
  • Operating system
  • Computer and displays
  • Televisions and cable TV
  • Email/Calendar account creation
  • Assistance with WUSTLKey password changes

Call WashU IT at 933-3333 for:

  • If Jeff and Galen are not available and the issue needs to be resolved quickly

Ordering Hardware and Software

Galen Harrison and Jeff Spears manage the ongoing support for the office computing systems. This includes file servers, backup systems, video displays and projectors, wired and wireless networking, mobile devices, printers/copiers, and software support.

System and software upgrades are tightly controlled to minimize downtime and diagnostic time. All upgrades go through alpha and beta testing process before releasing to all staff members. If you have an urgent need to upgrade software please discuss it with Galen and Jeff to expedite the process.

If there is a need for additional hardware or software for you or your teams’ needs, please discuss this with your supervisor who will then forward the request to Galen, Jeff, and Karen.

Software requests include the discovery of operating system compatibilities as well as security implications on your system and MarComm/Washington University networks.
