Moving Furniture in Office Spaces

When reconfiguring furniture in spaces within the University Marketing & Communciations Office it is advisable to include the Administration Team in that process. Administration will:

  • Coordinate with Facilities or WFF to move the furniture if it is heavy or needs to be disassembled in order to be moved. Dragging furniture across the carpet can cause permanent damage to the carpet and furniture.
  • Verify that office egress codes are being met.
  • Adjust phone/network cabling and power strips to make sure they are out of the way and do not create tripping hazards which can result injury and/or damage to computer equipment.
