Kurt J Mueller

Assistant Director, Administration

I serve two roles in Public Affairs. I am the assistant director for the Assembly Series where I handle logistics and planning for the series, arrange hospitality, manage the invoicing and budget, assist with programming, and make sure the events run smoothly.

As assistant director of administration and a member of the administration team, I manage building issues at 276 N. Skinker. I act as liaison to facilities and maintenance, outside vendors, movers, painters, and custodial services. I also lead the holiday giving program, work with building safety issues, and co-direct the Green Offices Program for Public Affairs.

I earned a bachelor’s degree in history, French, and German from the University of Illinois at Chicago. I attended Saint Louis University School of Law where, although I enjoyed the experience, I also learned that I didn’t want to be a lawyer.

When not working on my 94-year-old four family apartment building in the Princeton Heights neighborhood, I am probably reading a book, cooking, watching PBS or a forensic “who dunnit.”
